Father Robert Joseph Jones (77) was born on May 3. 1942 in Glendale, California to Stafford Jones and Rosemary Snaer and entered into eternal rest on February 10, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. Father Robert dedicated his life as a Catholic Priest for over 51 years. He served on the faculty of Regina Cleri Seminary in Tucson, Arizona as a science teacher. He then served at St. John’s Seminary College in Camarillo, then as treasurer of the Vincentian Fathers Provincial Office in Los Angeles, moving on to associate pastor of St. Vincent Church in Los Angeles, and most recently as chaplain at the Los Angeles County USC Medical Center. He leaves behind his Loving Family: Cousins: Mary Mieding (Jim) of La Canada, CA, Ed Niekamp of Tujunga, CA, Lawrence Niekamp (Norma) of Citrus Heights, CA, Tom Niekamp (Jamie) of Syracuse, Utah, Sister Dorothea Snaer, O.P. of Altadena, CA, along with other family and friends who will love and miss him dearly.
