John W. Frady, Class of 1966, Rest In Peace, Brother...!!!
John W. Frady passed away in Seattle on Saturday, December 17, 2016. He was born in 1948 in Belen, New Mexico. John attended Regina Cleri Seminary, Tucson, AZ before graduating from Bisbee High School in 1966. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1973, during the Vietnam War. After leaving the Air Force, John attended Eastern Washington University and obtained his Bachelor's in Psychology. His career was spent in service to others, especially the most vulnerable among us.
In 2000, John met the love of his life, Ann. Their two families joined into one and they spent the next sixteen-plus years enjoying each other and life. John loved the beach (but surprisingly hated the water), going to movies and museums, trying new restaurants, reading, and exploring the beautiful city of Seattle that he loved so much.
After retirement, John volunteered his time with the Spokane Tree of Sharing and Seattle Film Festival, loved to travel, and was an avid Seahawks fan.
John is survived by his wife Ann Vine, son Michael Robert Frady, step-sons Mikel Joseph Looper and Jonathan William Waters, daughter Laura Adell Gilliam, step-daughter Ashley Nicole Looper, brothers Jim Frady and Richard Frady, three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his dog Sasha.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Frady and Sara Humphrey, and brother Bill Frady. John was a loving and caring person, son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He touched many lives with his thoughtfulness, kindness, wit and cheerful personality. The world was a better place to live in with John in it. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Harborview Medical Center, the onsite medical staff at CenturyLink Stadium and the members of the 256 IS Squadron from Fairchild Air Force Base.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Seattle Museum of Flight, 9404 E. Marginal Way South, Seattle, WA 98108 on Saturday, January 14, 2017. We ask that family members arrive at 2:00PM for a small private gathering. All others are welcome to join us from 2:30PM to 4:00PM. Ann would appreciate if everyone could spend a few moments to write and bring a letter to John that will be read to him at a later date.
